The Love Unspoken

A ray of light flashes on my face.
Your presence secures a dazzling gaze.
Adorned by the sweet scent of perfume,
Comely you may seem.

But solitude and sorrow reign
Fear consorts with doubt.
Caged in the struggle of silence
The most artless love of a lad
Reticent lest knowledge would cast desperation,
Beyond guilt as yet unspoken.
